The Utah Jazz have been eliminated from the playoffs, and there are some questions regarding the future of Ricky Rubio. The point guard was involved in some trade rumors earlier this season, and he's now set to become an unrestricted free agent.

Rubio admitted to Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune that he was hurt by the trade rumors that involved him this season:

“Yeah, I'm not gonna lie. It hurt — I have feelings. … It's a business here, and you understand that. [But] it feels uncomfortable. … A player like me, you play with heart. It's tough to play with heart when you don't know what's going to happen.”

Rubio was almost traded to the Memphis Grizzlies as part of the Jazz's attempt to acquire Mike Conley. However, they refused to include Dante Exum in the deal, which prevented the trade from pushing through.

Rubio took a shot at the Jazz's front office right after the trade deadline:

Rubio had a decent postseason run with the Jazz, averaging 15.4 points in five games. However, he really struggled with his outside shoot, making just 20.0% of his 3-pointers.

It is possible that the Spaniard might not be long for the Jazz, but that's something he may be prepared for after nearly getting dealt earlier in the season.
