It's the end of an era for the Utah Jazz franchise, as Quin Snyder decided that it was time to move on. Snyder stepped down from his Jazz's head coaching position after an early exit by Utah in the 2022 NBA Playoffs and after a total of eight seasons serving the team in that capacity.

There are mixed signals being sent by the current trade rumors from the Jazz camp. On one hand, Utah does seem that it is going to hold on to its stars, Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell, and aim to continue being a contender in the Western Conference.

And right now, the roster has a lot of questions without a lot of ready-made answers. League sources say multiple teams have called the Jazz to inquire about the trade availability of Mitchell, only to be given a firm no. The Jazz have made it clear they intend on building a roster around Mitchell. The only thing that could possibly pry Mitchell from the Jazz at this point is a monstrous offer. They simply don’t have the intention of trading him.

On the other hand, there isn't a lack of discussions behind the scenes about at least Gobert getting traded in the offseason.

But nearly everyone else, including star center Rudy Gobert, has some sort of availability on the trade market. League sources suggest Gobert and small forward Bojan Bogdanovic have been two names that have garnered significant interest from teams. The Jazz expect to be a team that will be aggressive on the trade market.

Gobert is being linked to multiple teams, with the likes of the Toronto Raptors and the Dallas Mavericks among the chief contenders for his services if a trade would indeed go down in the offseason. Either Gobert and Mitchell would fetch quite a load of assets for the Jazz, who could use those building blocks in ensuring a future reputation as a contender. However, what they have right now in Mitchell and Gobert, even without Snyder, are still good enough to make them a playoff contender.
