Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert lost two things in their road matchup against the Houston Rockets. The French big man lost his cool and slapped a drink off the scorers table after getting called for a second foul just 2:47 into the contest. As a result of his actions, he also lost the right to stay in the game as he was ejected. This comes just days after he was fined $15,000 for criticizing the officiating.

The 7-foot-1 center was furious about what played out:

Rudy Gobert was whistled for his second foul after he seemingly pushed James Harden as he asked for the ball. The big man quickly displayed his frustration after this second foul and got the boot as a result:

It was a big blow for the Jazz as they lacked the service of their star big man for the rest of the ball game. The raucous Utah crowd let the officials hear it for these calls, and that continued for a while after the ejection.

Gobert has been terrific this season for Utah. The Jazz center entered play Thursday averaging 15.5 points, 12.8 rebounds and 2.1 blocks in 32.4 minutes per game. He's also shooting nearly 70 percent from the field.

After a promising start to his career, Gobert broke out in the 2016-17 NBA season. He recorded 14.0 points and 12.8 rebounds per game that season and was named to the All-NBA second team.

Last season, Rudy Gobert earned the Defensive Player of the Year award after leading the league in blocks.
