New York Jets head coach Adam Gase had a very odd introduction press conference in which cameras caught Gase often looking uncomfortable and bewildered. Gase's eyes appeared to widen at just about every question, and he looked like he wanted no parts of the media's questions.

According to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk, Gase was recently on The Dan LeBatard Show and was, of course, asked about all the Twitter posts regarding his awkward press conference. Gase's response was equally as awkward.

“I don’t have Twitter, Instagram. I don’t read the internet. I don’t watch TV. Like, all that stuff — it’s irrelevant to me. To me, it’s pollution of the brain. I really don’t care. …All I know is, do we win any games because of it?”

Gase does have a point regarding social media's lack of assisting his team winning any games, but his uncomfortable interview did do fairly well on the internet. The press conference will likely be something that Gase won't soon forget, but he doesn't care about anything other than winning games.

The Jets have been one of the worst teams in recent years, and although they have a lot of potential on both sides of the ball, they clearly need a lot more than potential. The Jets won four games in 2018 and have a top draft pick once again; it likely won't be anywhere near enough to get the team where they need to be.

Gase will need to start looking for more help on offense considering that's where his expertise lies. The Jets lack a true workhorse running back as well as any wide receivers to take pressure off of rookie quarterback Sam Darnold.
