The New York Jets were routed by the Philadelphia Eagles by a score of 31-6 on Sunday, dropping them to 0-4 on the season.

To be fair, the Jets are down to their third-string quarterback and have been missing their best defensive player in linebacker C.J. Mosley, but that hasn't stopped safety Jamal Adams from expecting wins.

As a result, Adams is not at all enthralled with his team's winless start.

“I mean, anytime I step on the field, man, I expect to win. We all do. But it didn’t happen,” Adams said, according to Randy Lange of the Jets' team website. “We lost. It doesn’t matter. So I’m frustrated, I’m upset. It is what it is.”

New York's defense did not that poorly, as it held what is considered by many to be an explosive Eagles offense to just 265 total yards, and he pointed that out after the game, but said the team as a whole needs to be better.

“We're coming together, we're making plays, and I'm speaking for the defensive side,” Adams said. “Obviously we still can't give up certain plays, but I thought we played well today. But as a team, we have to continue to play hard.”

That could be viewed as a bit of a shot at the Jets' struggling offense, as New York ranks dead last in the NFL in yardage and is second-to-last in points per game.
The Jets could be getting Sam Darnold back for next week's matchup with the Dallas Cowboys, but at this point, it might not matter.
