It has been a wild couple of days for New York Jets safety Jamal Adams.

There was a whole lot of speculation that the Jets could trade Adams ahead of the NFL trade deadline on Tuesday. Adams ultimately stayed put, but not before an unusual series of events occurred.

A report surfaced that Adams wanted to play for the Dallas Cowboys and that the Jets were working to send him there, but Adams later came out and refuted that, saying he wanted to remain a Jet and that New York was discussing him in trades behind his back.

Adams hasn't been shy about venting his feelings on social media, and on Wednesday, he took to Twitter to continue to state his view on the situation.

“Not saying I’m the greatest ever,” wrote Adams. “But you shouldn’t tell a guy you are the cornerstone of the team on Friday, that you won’t be moved, and then negotiate terms with other teams 3 days later… But look, I’m at peace with everything! It’s all Luv!”

Adams then tweeted that he is “locked in” and that his main focus is on the Jets' upcoming game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Through seven games this season, Adams has logged 39 tackles, an interception, five passes defended and a defensive touchdown.

The 24-year-old, who played his collegiate football at LSU, was originally selected by New York with the sixth overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft. He went on to make the Pro Bowl and earn a First-Team All-Pro selection in his second season.

The Jets are just 1-6 thus far in 2019.
