The New York Jets made arguably the biggest splash in the NFL this offseason, signing running back Le'Veon Bell in free agency. In addition to signing Bell, the Jets also did some work along their offensive line, acquiring guard Kelechi Osemele in a trade with the Oakland Raiders.

Now, Osemele will get to block for Bell, and he is pumped to do so:

“It's dope that he's on our side of the ball now,” Osemele said on Good Morning Football on Friday. “Playing him with the Ravens, he gave us some issues. He gave us problems. It's dope to be blocking for him. I'm really excited about it. I think it's going to be like having a lineman that's getting to the second level too. I'm hitting a linebacker, and he's a big guy, and he can hit some guys too and break some tackles. I'm excited about that. I think he's a physical player, and he's got crazy vision.”

Prior to spending the past three seasons with the Oakland Raiders, Osemele spent the first four years of his career with the Baltimore Ravens, so he became very familiar with Bell while he was playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers during that time period.

Osemele, who played his collegiate football at Iowa State, was originally selected by the Ravens in the second round (60th pick overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft.

He did not truly break out until he got to Oakland in 2016, as he made a Pro Bowl appearance and earned a First-Team All-Pro selection in his first year with the club. The 29-year-old then made another Pro Bowl in 2017.
