Earlier on Wednesday, New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell took to Twitter to express his frustration over the NFL's random drug testing, hinting that he thinks it might not be so random.

Bell added that he no longer wants the league to stick him with needles, and later on in the day, he explained himself a bit more.

“I’m just saying I’m not doing it no more,” Bell told reporters, via Scott Thompson of SNY. “They’re not getting no more of my blood. They better use the blood they got right now.”

As for whether or not Bell, who has given blood five times this season, will actually refuse drug testing the next time the NFL asks him?

“If we gotta cross that bridge when we get there, I’ll cross it,” Bell said.

While Bell did not say he was specifically being targeted by the league, he once again doubled down on his opinion that the league may not be so random in who it chooses to test.

“Is it random, though?” Bell said. “Why do I feel like every time they here doing the HGH testing I get picked?”

The 27-year-old signed a lucrative four-year deal with the Jets back in March, but his first season in New York has not gone according to plan.

Through 10 games, Bell has rushed for just 508 yards and three touchdowns while averaging a meager 3.2 yards per carry. He has tallied 70 yards on the ground just once all season, and in two of the last four weeks, he has logged under three yards per attempt.

Bell spent the first six years of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, although he sat out all of 2018 due to a contract dispute.

He made three Pro Bowls and earned First-Team All-Pro honors twice during his time with the Steelers.
