New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell has endured his fair share of struggles in the 2019 NFL season. It appears the drug tests done by the league has now become one of them.

Bell recently took to Twitter to voice his frustration with the amount of times he has been tested this year:

I done had 5 “random” HGH blood test in 10 weeks…NFL I’m not doing another after today, whatever y’all lookin for it obviously ain’t there & I’m not about to keep allowing y’all to stick me with those dirty ass needles..find the players who really do that HGH BS & get off me..

Bell was suspended for four games during the 2016 campaign for violating the league's substance abuse policy, however, it was not because he tested positive for a performance-enhancing drug. As a result, he ultimately won his appeal and was able to get it reduced to three games. This could have a significant impact on just how many games he is subject to being suspended for if he follows through with not obliging by the league's drug-testing policy.

To be fair, Bell has not been able to do anything out of the usual this season due to the lackluster play of his offensive line. He has rushed for a mere 508 yards on 146 carries and is projected to finish with career-lows in essentially every category. It is clear the constant testing has now spoiled one of the few bright moments of the year after the Jets finally managed to win back-to-back games

Regardless, it will be interesting to see whether or not Bell sticks to his guns if another test comes his way.
