Early in the season, the New York Jets were a team that did a good job of forcing other teams to turn the ball over, and they are still 15th in the league in creating turnovers, but there is one minor problem. The Jets haven't created a turnover since Week 6, and it has shown with the results on the field. The Jets last forced a turnover against the Indianapolis Colts, and since that point, they have lost five games.

Safety Jamal Adams knows how important it is to create turnovers, and he knows how important they are in helping this team win a few more games.

“We’ve got to get a turnover,” Adams said Tuesday on WFAN, via Newsday. “We are obviously out there talking about turnovers, turnovers, turnovers, and getting it done. But we’re not getting it done, we’re just talking about it. It’s very frustrating as a defense when we’re not getting turnovers and helping our offense get in better situations. It’s something we have to get done.”

As bad as the drought has been, the Jets don't think anything has changed to create it, and it's not like guys aren't going out there trying to get the ball away from their opponents.

Avery Williamson said he has felt like a few times he has almost gotten the ball away from the opponent, but the team just hasn't gotten the breaks to finish the deal.

“It’s kind of hard to explain. As a player, you try and go for the ball and strip it out. There’s been a few times where I know for a fact I’ve almost got the ball out and guys have just been holding onto the ball pretty tight. I don’t feel like anything has changed, it’s just that we can’t catch a break. It’s tough when you try to make something happen and it just doesn’t go your way.”

The Jets' defense will try to get back on track in Week 13 against the Tennessee Titans.
