The New York Jets pulled off a sound victory against the Tennessee Titans, netting them their first win of the season. Nobody's more ecstatic about that than quarterback Zach Wilson.

The Jets QB spoke effusively about the win, which he had every right to revel in.

Via Al Iannazzone of Newsday:

“I was so, so excited,” Wilson said. “That rush you feel when you see that kick miss there at the end when you know that you won it. A win is a win, no matter how you look at it. We won that game, and it was awesome.”

Zach Wilson has gotten a large helping of criticism throughout his first three contests – all losses for the Jets. In turn, he deserves every bit of praise for helping his team pull off an upset here.

Wilson went 21-for-34, tallying 297 yards, two touchdowns, one interception. But it was his big plays during crucial moments that really pushed his team to take the W. The best was when he delivered an epic 53-yard TD in the fourth quarter to put the Jets up by a touchdown for the first time this entire season.

Wilson also has his defense to thank for keeping the Titans at bay just enough for him to have a chance to make plays to swing the game. Ryan Tannehill was sacked seven times, neutering the scoring attack for their opponents.

Zach Wilson and the New York Jets have gone through a lot of growing pains thus far, with a few more to come. But fans will sleep soundly until next week after the valiant effort they put up this time around.
