His team's 1-5 record is not the only tough pill to swallow now for Washington Wizards‘ point guard John Wall as he has been slapped with a $25,000 fine by the NBA for ” inappropriate interaction with a game official and failing to leave the court in a timely manner following his ejection”, the team's Executive Vice President, Kiki VanDe Weghe, announced on Wednesday.

The incident happened late in the fourth quarter during the team's 114-106 loss to the Houston Rockets on Monday. Wall was walking to their bench when he nudged the referee which resulted to his second technical foul of the game and an automatic ejection.

If there's any good news for Wall, he can consider himself lucky for not receiving a suspension from the league. His presence on the court will be very important for the Wizards who are entering a crucial stretch in their schedule as they play their next three games against the Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Chicago Bulls. The Wizards need to get their act together soon before they dig themselves too deep of a hole which they'll find very difficult to get out of.
