With the Kansas City Chiefs' Week 8 matchup against the New York Giants, all eyes will be on how Patrick Mahomes and his team bounce back after their worst start in years. The Chiefs-Giants game should be an easy one for Kansas City as New York isn’t much of a threat. This will be the perfect opportunity for the Chiefs to get back in the winning column while finding ways to execute their offense after a horrible showing in Week 7.

With that in mind, here are 4 bold predictions for Week 8’s contest.

Kansas City Chiefs Week 8 Predictions

4. Patrick Mahomes will dominate

Mahomes didn’t exactly have a great game in Week 7 against the Tennessee Titans. Not only was he placed in concussion protocol but it seemed like he couldn’t get his offense going. The Chiefs had no touchdowns and have turned the ball over way too much this season. For as great as their offense is, it boils down to finishing drives and that is definitely an adjustment Kansas City will have to make moving forward. Mahomes will lead them to do just that on Monday as he’s proven multiple times now that he bounces back especially after a horrible game.

Expect a vengeful Patrick Mahomes to show up on Monday and have his best game yet.

3. The Chiefs win the turnover battle

Turnovers are an interesting storyline to follow ahead of Monday’s battle because these two teams have a habit of losing the football. The Giants’ defense currently has 9 turnovers this season while the Chiefs have given up the ball over 17 times in their first seven games. Another interesting fact is that the Chiefs' offense has at least three turnovers in each of its last three games. In short, Kansas City's opponents will keep this in mind and do everything they can to get the ball out of Mahomes' hands.

But on Monday, the Chiefs won’t let the Giants win the turnover battle. Kansas City turnovers this season have been so concerning that they’re going to make sure this doesn’t bite them on Monday.

2. Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce will overpower the Giants defense

Seven games into the season, Hill has 52 receptions for 641 yards and five touchdowns with five rushes for 63 yards. His receptions are tied for second-most in the league and this has become one of Kansas City's best weapons. Meanwhile, Kelce has been his normal, dominant self. He currently has 45 receptions for 533 yards and four touchdowns this season.

These two players are exactly why Kansas City has such an elite offense that can win them any game. And now with a sense of desperation needed, both Hill and Kelce will deliver on Monday. The Giants defense won’t be able to stop two of Mahomes’ lethal offensive weapons.

1. Andy Reid will come up with the best game plan yet

Reid knows that Kansas City is in danger of not even making it to the playoffs which is why the coach will do his best to dominate Monday’s matchup. It’s an opportunity to show the world that the Kansas City Chiefs are fine and they can still thrive off their offense despite a below average defense. The pressure will be on Reid but he shall deliver.
