The second-most prolific scorer in NBA history, Karl Malone has a net worth of around $85 million in 2020, per Wealthy Persons.

Malone was born in Summerfield, Louisiana. He had nine siblings and wound up playing his college ball at Louisiana Tech before entering the NBA in 1985 with the Utah Jazz.

The Mailman averaged 25.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.4 steals during his Hall of Fame run with the Jazz before playing one season with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2003-04. Malone made 14 All-Star teams and captured two regular-season MVP Awards with Utah.

Unfortunately, Malone and the Jazz went 0-2 in the NBA Finals, as Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls defeated Utah in 1997 and 1998 — with MJ winning both Finals MVPs. Malone was hoping to get a ring with the Lakers, who had Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant. However, Los Angeles lost to the Detroit Pistons in the 2004 Finals. Malone retired from the NBA after the defeat.

With the Jazz, Malone scored 36,374 points. He’s first in franchise history in points, minutes played, field goals, free throws, total rebounds and Win Shares. Malone was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2010.

Overall, Malone scored 36,928 points during his NBA career with the Jazz and Lakers. Only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (38,387) is ahead of him on the NBA's all-time scoring list, although LeBron James (34,087) is expected to eventually pass him.

In total, Malone made $104,133,378 in NBA money. The most he ever made in a season was $19,250,000, which was during the 2002-03 campaign, his final year in Salt Lake City.

Malone is married to 1988 Miss Idaho USA pageant winner Kay Kinsey. The couple got married in December of 1990. Together, they have four children – three daughters and a son.

Malone makes a major portion of his money from his business ventures. He has ownership of Teriyaki Grill, Eskimoe's Ice Cream and Arby's in Ruston, Louisiana. Malone also has two car dealerships in Utah. “Karl Malone Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram” is in Heber City, Utah, while “Karl Malone Toyota” is in the Salt Lake City suburb of Draper.

It's also worth mentioning that Malone starred in the 1994 film called “Rockwell.” He may have never won an NBA championship, but Malone did very well for himself financially.
