Ever since Kevin Durant left the Oklahoma City Thunder to sign with the Golden State Warriors, there has been an icy distance between him and Russell Westbrook. The two seemingly good friends avoided each other during games and even reportedly stopped talking and texting. But apparently that has all changed.

Talking about the dynamic between Westbrook and Durant on TNT's “Area 21” on Monday, former Thunder big man Kendrick Perkins revealed that the two are back on speaking terms.

Here's are Perkins' full comments about the relationship between Westbrook and Durant:

“Believe it or not, though, I was trying to figure out a way to make them talk again,” Perkins said. “Because I felt like the outside world was putting a beef there that really wasn’t too serious, you know what I mean?”

“And so the night that, I think the night that Russ actually broke the record, I had texted KD the next day,” Perkins continued. “He was talking about something, and he sent me a text and was like ‘Hey, man, me and Russ had a nice conversation yesterday.’ The media don’t even know nothing about it, but I just let it be known that they back on talking terms.”

Perkins is friends with both Westbrook and Durant so he would know if they are talking to each other. And it does make some sense that Durant and Westbrook are “back on talking terms,” because would they've really gone their rest of their lives without speaking to each other?
