Kevin Lee has appeared to quickly bounce back after his release from the UFC a few weeks ago. The Detroit MMA fighter appeared to have many options after the surprising news.
Many MMA promotions were asked about their interest and it seemed like Triller, Eagle FC, and a few others were the primary targets. Bellator president Scott Coker said he was not interested in a post-event press conference.
It appears Eagle FC is interested and Khabib Nurmagomedov's MMA promotion is working on signing him to the promotion. There is apparently a press conference planned to make the signing official.
Khabib Nurmagomedov spoke of the interest at a press conference. RT Sport reported the news in a video.
“Anything is possible, we are open to everything. In two days, when we will be holding another press conference, we will be ready to announce the signing of Kevin Lee. We are close to finalizing the deal but nothing is official yet. Why not? These guys have built themselves throughout their careers. They have 10 fights in the UFC, are former champions of the UFC,” Nurmagomedov said at a press conference.
There aren't many details yet on the singing but more is expected to be revealed at the Eagle FC MMA press conference. The news is certainly a big one and Kevin Lee will join big names like Rashad Evans and Renan Barao.
Kevin Lee will be looking to make as much money as he can during his post-UFC run. He certainly has a big opportunity in his first MMA fight outside of the promotion.
