Corey Brewer is at the end of a second 10-day contract with the Sacramento Kings. The former No. 7 overall pick says he'd like to remain with the team, and it sounds like his wish will be granted.

According to a report from Jason Anderson of the Sacramento Bee, the Kings are interested in signing Brewer for the remainder of this season.

The Kings signed Brewer to a 10-day contract on February 8th, then again on Feb. 18th. And by the sound of Anderson's report, it sounds like the team is happy with his play thus far.

Brewer, now 32 years of age, is an established NBA veteran. In 793 games played over the course of his 11-year career in the NBA, he's racked up averages of 8.9 points on 42.5 percent shooting from the field (28.3 percent from beyond the arc), 2.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists.

Brewer logged 16 minutes in Sacramento's 112-105 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, scoring 12 points on 3-of-8 shooting (5-of-6 from the free-throw line), two rebounds, one assist and one three-pointer.

In Wednesday's overtime loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, however, Brewer was only able to muster two points and three assists in 20 minutes of action.

The Kings will need to make a decision fairly soon, as Brewer's second 10-day contract expires on Thursday (February 28th). Keep your browsers locked on ClutchPoints for more updates on this topic as they become available.
