The New York Knicks finally have their new general manager, agreeing to terms Sacramento Kings vice president Scott Perry to fill in their job vacancy.

The development comes after weeks of uncertainty of who will run their daily operations. They parted ways with Phil Jackson last month. It's now clearer that their current vice president and general manager, Steve Mills, will most likely take over the reins of the Zen Master and become the new team president.

Perry started his front office career back in 2000 as a member of the executive team of the Detroit Pistons. He then had stints with the then-Seattle SuperSonics and Orlando Magic before being named the Kings' executive VP for basketball operations this past April.

It's still unknown when he'll officially start his new job, but it's expected that he will immediately have to make some big decisions for the team, as they are still uncertain about the future of Carmelo Anthony, and they also could sign some free agents to bolster their lineup for next season.

One thing is certain: they will be relying heavily on his years of experience and success in the past, as the Knicks are hopeful he can help turn their fortunes around.
