After the New York Knicks lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday at Madison Square Garden, Knicks big man Enes Kanter revealed to reporters that head coach David Fizdale told him he's going to be moved down the depth chart behind Luke Kornet and Mitchell Robinson.

As expected, Kanter isn't happy about Fizdale's decision, as he wants to play basketball. The 26-year-old didn't expect to play against the Thunder on Monday, but Kornet suffered an ankle injury, forcing Fizdale to play Kanter. It's unclear how much time Kornet will miss, so Kanter might still see more action than Fizdale planned.

In 19 minutes, Enes Kanter finished with 11 points, three rebounds and one assist in the Knicks' 127-109 loss to OKC.

Enes Kanter says he loves playing for the Knicks, but it's clear that he would be better suited playing somewhere else since New York is in rebuild mode. The eight-year veteran has been linked to the Sacramento Kings in trade talks, but it doesn't appear a deal has gained any traction.

Entering Monday, Kanter was averaging 14.4 points, 11.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game for New York while shooting 54.3 percent from the floor, 35.0 percent from beyond the arc and 81.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Enes Kanter is in the final year of his contract and will become an unrestricted free agent after the season ends. Teams who are in need of frontcourt depth and a player who can score in bunches should be calling the Knicks about trading for Kanter.
