Immanuel Quickley knows New York Knicks fans can be a rough crowd. That's why Quickley has used post-draft skepticism as motivation.

Quickley revealed during a recent interview with GQ Magazine he took note of all the people claiming he was drafted too high. He also made it clear he is on a constant mission to improve, adding that thirst is insatiable:

“I screenshotted a lot of the stuff when people are saying I was drafted too high,” Quickley said, via Will Leitch of GQ. “I was probably drafted too low, to be honest. I’m glad the Knicks took me, though, so it was a great situation. But yeah, I took all that stuff, screenshotted it and took it to my workouts. But I don’t feel like I’ve done anything yet. I don’t know if I ever will.”

The Knicks acquired the rights to Quickley after he was selected No. 25 overall by the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Quickley proved he could score in his sophomore season at the University of Kentucky, averaging 16.1 points while shooting 42.8 percent from beyond the arc. His terrific season netted him SEC Player of the Year honors. Still, there were those who questioned the 6'3″ guard for his lanky frame and defensive abilities.

But New York is sure glad to have Quickley. The 21-year-old has wasted no time bringing his scoring prowess to the Big Apple, averaging 11.8 points in just 19.0 minutes per game. Quickley has also been more of a playmaker than he was in college, averaging 2.7 assists and showing an equal ability to score off the bounce or play off the ball.

Some Knicks fans might not have been pleased to learn the team selected Quickley this past fall. But he kept the receipts and is coming for heads.
