Jalen Brunson is now officially a member of the New York Knicks. The 25-year-old made his way to The Big Apple to put pen to paper on a massive $104 million, four-year deal with the Knicks via free agency. On Wednesday, Brunson made his first trip to the famed Madison Square Garden as a member of the Knicks, and it was truly a special moment.

Brunson, who played more than a few games inside the Garden during his time with Villanova, had a five-word statement as he soaked up the moment (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):

“Back like you never left,” Brunson said.

Brunson found a lot of success in MSG during his three-year tenure with the Wildcats. The 6-foot-1 combo guard won two national titles with Villanova, so you could definitely say that Madison Square Garden is indeed familiar stomping ground for him.

The team officially unveiled Brunson on Wednesday, and the sight of him in a Knicks jersey is enough to hype up any New York fan:

There has been a lot of dark days for the Knicks and their fanbase over the past few years. However, there's no denying that it was a big win for them when they successfully snagged Brunson from the Dallas Mavericks as soon as free agency opened. New York made it abundantly clear that they wanted Brunson, and they did all that they can to make sure this happened. In the end, the Knicks succeeded and they got their man.

Nevertheless, whether or not Brunson is going to be the man who delivers New York to glory remains to be seen.
