The New York Knicks decided to go younger after the All-Star break and get some of the younger guys playing time, which meant less playing time for the likes of Jarrett Jack.

There were reports that he was trying to reach a buyout with the Knicks so he could get some minutes somewhere else, and hopefully on a  contender, but now it appears that won't be the case, and Jack will be on the team for the rest of the year.

Jack was the starting point guard for the team most of the season before the All-Star break, but since then, he hasn't seen the court once.

Jack has accepted the coaches decision and taken it like a pro, but as a competitor, he wants to be out there according to Barbara Barker of Newsday.

As a player, competitor, it’s definitely tough. I’m not the coach. I’m not in the front office. If that’s the decision they’re making, they’re going with, all I can do is be professional and control what I can control. That’s coming in every day and working hard, be positive.”

Jarrett Jack has made a really nice career for himself, but at 32 still feels like he has at least a few years left in his legs and body.

He has played in 862 games in his career starting in 399 of them. He is averaging 10.8 points and 4.6 assists per game over his career.

It will be interesting after the season if the Knicks decide to bring him back, or if they will let him lock.
