New York Knicks rookie RJ Barrett says he wants to dunk on Dallas Mavericks power forward Kristaps Porzingis in the 2019-20 season.

During Bleacher Report's “Ask Me Anything,” Barrett was asked which player he’d most like to dunk on. The Knicks rookie didn't hesitate and named the former Knicks star.

Kristaps Porzingis requested a trade from the Knicks in January. New York traded KP to the Mavs, who gave the 7-footer a five-year max contract this offseason.

Porzingis has career averages of 17.8 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 186 NBA games while shooting 43.7 percent from the field, 36.1 percent from beyond the arc and 80.4 percent from the free-throw line. RJ Barrett is the new face of the Knicks franchise now that Porzingis is gone.

It’s going to be interesting to see what type of reception Porzingis gets at Madison Square Garden when the Mavs come to New York on Nov. 14. Knicks fans loved KP, but his trade request might have changed things.

Barrett, meanwhile, is going to get even more love from Knicks fans after this comment.  At Duke last season, RJ averaged 22.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and 4.3 assists while shooting 45.4 percent from the field, 30.8 percent from beyond the arc and 66.5 percent from the free-throw line.
