Legendary filmmaker and director Spike Lee traveled to Atlanta in hopes of seeing his New York Knicks take a 2-1 lead against Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks. Unfortunately, the opposite happened.

After the Hawks exploded in the second quarter of Game 3, they never looked back and held on to win 105-94. As such, while Young amped up the crowd following the victory, Lee was seen with that look of frustration.

Amid all the smiles and cheers from Hawks fans surrounding him, Spike Lee silently sitting and clenching his hands together absolutely stood out.

Now that is surely sad to see.

Spike Lee was ecstatic after the Knicks clinched the fourth seed in the East, and he showed his support for the team right from Game 1–during which he was even seen jumping up and down in excitement after a big play.

It is not yet too late for the Knicks, though, especially since they still have the homecourt advantage if the series goes the distance. However, the team will need to win Game 4 in State Farm Arena before heading back home where they will rely on their fans to rally them.

The Knicks-Hawks Round 1 clash  is brewing  to be an exciting series–fan-spitting incidents aside–and it sure looks  like we'll get to see more Spike Lee moments.
