The Brooklyn Nets are in the middle of playing the Boston Celtics in the 2022 NBA Playoffs. However, Spike Lee, the notoriously known New York Knicks fan was spotted at the Nets-Celtics game on Saturday night. He wasn't just attending, but the famous film director was seen rooting for Brooklyn.

Thanks to Michael Grady, there's actual video footage of Spike Lee cheering for the Nets. We can only imagine how betrayed the Knicks feel. The most famous fan of the franchise suddenly starts rooting for the cross-town rival after New York failed to make a playoff appearance.

This is a bigger betrayal than when Cassie cheated with Maddy's boyfriend in Euphoria. The Knicks have to feel absolutely gutted, watching their top fan root for the Nets in the NBA Playoffs. This would be like if Luke Skywalker joined the dark side. Or if Harry Potter decided to join forces with Lord Voldemort. New York should be questioning their relationship with Spike Lee from here on out.

Even so, Lee's betrayal doesn't seem to be working for the Nets. They're down 0-3 to the Celtics and one more loss eliminates Brooklyn from the playoffs. The Knicks are likely sitting at home and enjoying watching their cross-town rival blow in the postseason. Especially now that Spike Lee turned his back on the franchise that once loved him.

We'll have to keep an eye on Spike Lee from here on out. He'll likely go back to being a Knicks fan, but the question is, will New York accept him back after this betrayal?
