Hassan Whiteside has gone from an unknown player to one of the best big men in the league in just a two or three year span. Now, he is a coveted free agent.
A couple weeks ago, it was made clear that the Lakers would be one of the teams to go after Hassan Whiteside. That was before the draft and teams can easily switch their pursuits following it.
The Lakers, though, are keeping with their pursuit of Hassan Whiteside and are even ‘aggressively pursuing' him.

If the Lakers are able to bring in Hassan Whiteside, they would have a great looking lineup going into next season. Assuming they keep Jordan Clarkson, they'd have this as their lineup:
PG: D'Angelo Russell
SG: Jordan Clarkson
SF: Brandon Ingram
PF: Julius Randle
C: Hassan Whiteside
That is a very exciting lineup for Lakers fans and could even be one of the best lineups in the Western Conference in just a couple of years.
