Bronny James is officially a Laker after the worst kept secret in the world was finally revealed on Thursday afternoon.

Bronny James will now head to Los Angeles to play with his famous father which has caused a firestorm of reactions on X.

The reactions came as Lakers GM Rob Pelinka shared his reasoning for the Bronny James pick. The day included an accusation by ex-Warriors GM Bob Myers that Bronny's agent had been telling teams that Bronny James would go to Australia if selected.

Now that the dust and smoke have settled, fans are still processing exactly what happened.

High scoring Hawks guard Dejounte Murray was among those speaking about the pick.

Nike Basketball on X posted a nostalgic tweet in remembrance of Bronny James' journey to play with his famous dad.

Ex-Laker Patrick Beverly predicted where Bronny would land in a tweet released earlier today.

Another fan compared Bronny James to a player already on the Lakers, Gabe Vincent, who came over this offseason from Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra's Miami Heat.

“You can't tell me that Bronny can't give the production of Gabe Vincent,” he said. “He will be just fine.”

James dealt with a medical condition prior to the season that was diagnosed as a congenital heart defect. The cardiac event happened during a USC basketball practice on July 24 of last year and caused him to collapse before briefly losing consciousness.
