The Bronny James situation reached a fever pitch with the second round underway and Bronny James remaining on the board until the late second round on Thursday afternoon.
James was finally taken by his father's Los Angeles Lakers with the 55th pick in the NBA Draft, but not before a wild accusation was shared by former Warriors GM Bob Myers.
According to Myers, Bronny James' agent Rich Paul told teams not to select James with a warning that he will head to Australia if they do.
“He's telling them don't take Bronny James. Take him and he's going to Australia.”

The information was revealed by Myers in a post by the X page Awful Announcing as Round 2 of the Draft continued.

“He's (told) them not to draft Bronny James,” Myers said. “Take him and he's going to Australia,” Paul reportedly said.
Myers added that Paul “has a plan and he has a place.”
“This is embarrassing,” one fan said on X in response.
“There is literally 0.0 chance,” one fan added.
Another said that Australian league basketball is about the right level of competition for Bronny James right now considering he scored less than five points per game in college with the USC Trojans. Myers also called out Stephen A. Smith for talking too much while revealing the information on the show. The Lakers selected Tennessee guard/forward Dalton Knecht with the 17th overall pick in the first round on Wednesday.
Bronny James averaged 4.8 points for the USC basketball team last season in the Pacific-12 Conference and will now take his talents to LA to play with his famous father.
