In only the second preseason game of his young NBA career, Lonzo Ball suffered a setback as he was not able to finish the Los Angeles Lakers' match against the Denver Nuggets.

It was reported that the 19-year-old tweaked his ankle during the second quarter, which forced him to miss almost the entire second half. He immediately received treatment on it, and it was initially diagnosed as a mild ankle sprain.

Lonzo Ball was still able to see 21 minutes of action, and stuffed the stat sheet with eight points, on 60 percent shooting, to go along with three rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block, He was part of the starting unit and once again showcased his all-around game, this time in front of the Lakers' fans inside Staples Center.

Their next game will be in two nights time against the same Nuggets team that beat them on Monday, 113-107. It's still unclear at this point if the coaching staff and trainers will clear him to see action, but being in the preseason, it won't be surprising if they will opt to give him the night off instead, and take a cautious approach on his injury.

With still a few weeks left before the start of the regular season, the Lakers are hoping that it will be enough time for Lonzo Ball to recover and be back to 100 percent by then.
