Since Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James will turn 36 at the end of the month and the Lakers will have the shortest offseason in sports history, former President Barack Obama believes Anthony Davis should carry the load on offense for Los Angeles to begin the 2020-21 season.

LeBron James has a lot of mileage on his legs and didn't get ample rest time this offseason. Even though Anthony Davis has an extensive injury history, it makes sense for the Lakers to rest James to begin the 2020-21 season and make Davis be the focal point.

President Barack Obama, who has a very close relationship with James, is a Chicago Bulls fan. While he's got to be a little upset that Davis didn't sign with the Bulls in free agency, Obama is looking out for James and his body since the Lakers and Miami Heat had short offseasons.

With LeBron and Davis leading the way again, the Lakers have a good shot of repeating as champions this upcoming season. The team made some outstanding moves this offseason, as general manager Rob Pelinka acquired Dennis Schröder from the Oklahoma City Thunder and signed Marc Gasol, Wesley Matthews and Montrezl Harrell in free agency.

Just like last season, the Lakers will open the 2020-21 campaign against the Los Angeles Clippers. However, this time around, there won't be any fans at Staples Center due to COVID-19.
