Los Angeles Lakers superstar big man Anthony Davis says guys on the team have been keeping in touch during the NBA hiatus.

Davis says his Lakers teammates are sending each other highlight tapes because they miss the game so much.

“We’re sending each other highlight tapes because we miss the game,” Anthony Davis told Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times.

“Guys are finding a way to work out safely because you know the season isn’t over. We want to make sure we pick up where we left off. We were in a great place.”

Davis and the Lakers were atop the Western Conference standings prior to play being suspended. While the NBA did the right thing by canceling play, it was bad timing for AD and the Purple and Gold, who were playing really good basketball.

The Lakers were coming off two impressive wins over the Los Angeles Clippers and Milwaukee Bucks at Staples Center. However, Los Angeles did lose to the Brooklyn Nets before the season was suspended.

Lakers fans are hoping play is resumed in the summer. After all, Purple and Gold supporters want to see the team capture title No. 17 in franchise history.

In his first season with the Lakers, Davis has been nothing short of spectacular. The former No. 1 overall pick was putting up a stat line of 26.7 points, 9.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 34.3 minutes a night.
