Dennis Schroder didn't have the best time during his stint with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020-21, and so when he returned to Staples on Tuesday with his new team Boston Celtics, he naturally didn't get the warmest of welcomes.

As the Celtics prepare to take on the Lakers, the home fans in attendance made sure to let Schroder know that he is not welcome there. The Celtics guard was showered with boos early on when the players were introduced.

While it might seem harsh, Dennis Schroder knew it was coming. His lone year in LA was a huge fail in a lot of aspects, as he failed to really step up for the team when they needed him the most.

Things also didn't end well for both sides, with Schroder hoping to get a big-money contract from the Lakers in free agency after rejecting their $84 million extension offer earlier in the season. After his rather forgettable stint in LA, his value really dropped. He ended up signing a one-year, $5.8 million contract with the Celtics–something that is largely seen as a prove-it deal.

For Schroder, though, the boos could very well end up motivating him and fueling him to do better against the Lakers. For their part, LA fans will certainly never get tired of booing Schroder when he comes visit the soon-to-be Crypto.com Arena no matter what.
