Nothing signifies the opening of the brand new NBA season better than the tender sound of the bouncing ball, the sweet music of the net swishing, and of course, the loud bickering of Shaquille O'Neal and Charles Barkley.

On Tuesday's opening night, the two Hall of Fame guys went at it again on NBA on TNT. Their topic of debate? Shaq's bold claim that he's better than the late Wilt Chamberlain. Of course, Barkley didn't buy it, blasting The Big Diesel for yet another self-serving hot take.

ā€œYou're not better than Wilt. Stop it. No, stop it. Stop it. You already getting penny! You already getting penny on the first night! You're not better than Wilt Chamberlain! Stop it!ā€

In Shaq's mind, he's the second best center in Los Angeles Lakers history next to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, with Chamberlain at no. 3. He, however, said he's the most dominant Lakers big man ever.

Watch the debate (if you can call it that) in full glory. We know you missed Shaq and Chuck.

To be quite objective about it, the only thing Shaq has over Chamberlain is the fact that he has four titles, which he never fails to bring up every single time. Despite being one of the most imposing figures during his prime, Wilt the Stilt only won two rings. But overall, Chamberlain clearly had a more productive career than Shaq, as proven by his countless NBA records. One thing's clear though: They both sucked from the charity stripe.

So far: Barkley ā€“ 1, Shaq ā€“ 0.
