As part of a recent appearance on “Take It There” with Taylor Rooks, Danny Green compared his Lakers teammate, LeBron James, to an iguana.

As part of his appearance on the show, Green and Rooks paid a visit to a reptilian zoo. In the midst of the snakes and lizards at the facility, the Lakers swingman admitted that he has always had an affinity for the cold-blooded creatures.

As the interview went on, Rooks asked Green to compare various players from the NBA landscape to a particular reptile. When asked about LeBron James, Green likened the Akron native to an iguana:

“You know that little iguana that runs on water? (LeBron) is a fast guy,” Green said. “But more so, how athletic and explosive he is. His reflexes and the awareness of his surroundings.”

James wasn't the only member of the Lakers that Green was asked to compare to a reptile. When asked about Anthony Davis, Green noted that there are several options:

“There are so many reptiles to describe him,” Green said of Davis. “You can go with like a Komodo dragon, or a big lizard. It's hard to describe him because of how long and active he is — his reflexes at his size.”

Lakers center Dwight Howard, who was also along for the interview at the zoo, likened his teammate, Alex Caruso, to an albino lizard:

“I would say he would be an albino lizard,” Howard said of Caruso. “One of those big dragons. He's fast, fights hard and finishes hard.”

When asked about Bucks All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo, Green went outside of the realm of reptiles:

“I would say like a squid or an octopus,” Green said when comparing Giannis to a creature from the animal kingdom. “They can be very big. They can be explosive and shoot very fast.”

Green had an interesting comparison for Kyrie Irving, noting that the Nets star is like a chameleon:

“A chameleon,” Green said of Irving. “He can adapt and adjust to many different things. Chameleons aren't big, but they're able to blend in and surprise you.”

With a Western Conference-best 49-14 record, Danny Green and the Lakers were enjoying a fantastic campaign prior to the NBA's decision to suspend the regular season due to the coronavirus pandemic. In fact, with their win over the Milwaukee Bucks earlier this month, Los Angeles clinched their first postseason berth since 2013.
