The Los Angeles Lakers might not be done making moves in free agency, as they are reportedly looking at some former players who are attempting to make an NBA comeback. One of those players is Marreese Speights, who had a workout in Las Vegas attended by new Lakers coach Frank Vogel:
Marreese Speights held a free-agent workout for NBA teams today in Las Vegas. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel was in attendance along with staffers from several other teams. Last year in China, Speights averaged 22.7 points, 7.5 boards and 3.1 threes (while shooting 36% from deep).

Speights last played for the Orlando Magic back in the 2017-18 season. He averaged 7.7 points and 2.6 rebounds in 51 games before taking his talents to China.
The Lakers could use more depth in the frontcourt, and Speights does have championship experience playing with the Golden State Warriors back in 2015. He's also a credible 3-point option, which is especially valuable playing alongside LeBron James.
However, Speights is a poor defender and so-so rebounder, which could hurt his chances of making it back to the NBA.
The Lakers are also monitoring the workouts of Amar'e Stoudemire and Monta Ellis, although it is unclear if they are seriously considering signing one of those players. Neither player has made an impact in the NBA in quite some time, and Los Angeles will likely opt for somebody who actually has.
The Lakers would surely love to get their hands on Andre Iguodala if he's bought out, while Trey Lyles could be an intriguing option on the younger side.
