Los Angeles Lakers veteran small forward Jared Dudley says he “can’t think of any duo right now that’s better than Anthony Davis and LeBron James.”

James and Davis are two of the top-five players in the NBA. The Lakers are hoping the two superstars can bring banner number 17 to the franchise in 2019-20.

Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan has the best player efficiency rating in NBA history at 27.91. Want to take a guess who is number two and three on that list? LeBron James is second at 27.59 and Anthony Davis is third at 27.42. So essentially, the Lakers have two of the most efficient scorers in NBA history on their roster. Not bad.

This past season, James averaged 27.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 8.3 assists in 55 games while shooting 51.0 percent from the field, 33.9 percent from beyond the arc and 66.5 percent from the free-throw line. The four-time MVP missed 17 consecutive games due to a groin injury he suffered on Christmas against the Golden State Warriors. Had James not sustained that injury, the Lakers probably make the playoffs.

For the New Orleans Pelicans in 2018-19, Davis put up 25.9 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.4 blocks in 56 games. The six-time All-Star shot 51.7 percent from the floor, 33.1 percent from the 3-point line and 79.4 percent from the charity stripe.

It's going to be a lot of fun to watch LeBron and Davis play together. The Lakers signed Jared Dudley to stretch and space the floor with his 3-point shooting. Dudley is a career 39.2 percent shooter from deep.
