The NBA could look at resuming games at venues in a centralized location, with Las Vegas reportedly emerging as the best possible location. Los Angeles Lakers veteran small forward Jared Dudley chimed in and agreed it is the best city to resume the season in.
The Lakers vet points to Las Vegas' centralized hotels to keep all teams under one roof and gym. Players and executives have floated various ideas such as a sprawling casino property in Las Vegas where everything could be held under one roof in terms of games and lodging, per Brian Windhorst of ESPN.
I’ve been hearing the same thing.. If and when we as a country see significant progress with this virus the VEGAS idea seems the best.. Centralized hotels to keep all teams under one roof and a gym so you don’t even have to leave the hotel https://t.co/Mz5qmJ4yxD

Others have suggested playing in the Bahamas where a ballroom could be converted into a playing court specifically for broadcast. Another option that has been discussed is taking over a college campus in the Midwest where reported cases of COVID-19 are lower.
Jared Dudley and the Lakers had the best record in the Western Conference before play was suspended. Two players on the Purple and Gold tested positive for COVID-19, and both were said to be asymptomatic, in quarantine and under the care of the team's lead physician.
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the virus first. That was followed by Jazz star shooting guard Donovan Mitchell, Detroit Pistons big man Christian Wood, Brooklyn Nets superstar forward Kevin Durant and Boston Celtics wing Marcus Smart.
The Lakers went 49-14 before the 2019-20 season was suspended. They had a 5.5 game lead over the Los Angeles Clippers.
