The Los Angeles Lakers are in the midst of an injury crisis right now and the latest man on the list is veteran wingman Jared Dudley. It has just been confirmed that the 35-year-old has suffered an MCL tear and is currently without a timetable for his return.

This report comes via David Aldridge of The Athletic:

Dudley, who has played a minor role for the Lakers this season, could have had an opportunity for more minutes in the wake of L.A.'s injury crisis. However, this recent development comes at a terrible time for the 6-foot-6 forward who is now faced with a potentially season-ending MCL tear. At 35, Dudley is no spring chicken, and this major injury could also have a significant impact on his career moving forward.

Dudley joins a slew of Lakers players on the shelf, with none for significant other than superstar big man Anthony Davis. AD has been dealing with a calf problem and it was recently announced that the defending champs will be without the eight-time All-Star for at least two more weeks. Marc Gasol and Kostas Antetokounmpo were recently placed under the league's health and safety protocols and both players are also expected to miss a handful of games.

Needless to say, the Lakers are in a bit of a hole right now. At this point, it wouldn't be a complete shock if the team ends up waiving Dudley to open up a free spot on the roster.
