ESPN analyst and ex-NBA player Jay Williams blasted former Los Angeles Lakers president Magic Johnson for his tirades against the franchise in a recent appearance on ESPN's First Take.

Johnson made big revelations during the interview, during which he said that he left the Lakers because he felt he does not have the decision-making power that he was promised before accepting the job. The Hall of Famer also went off against general manager Rob Pelinka, whom he accused of backstabbing.

Magic said that people in the organization told him that Pelinka was talking behind his back, citing his lack of focus on his job as Lakers president. He insisted that team owner Jeanie Buss knew all along that he also has businesses to run while performing his job as team president.

Williams said on Get Up that Johnson is not in the right position when he aired his sentiments. He pointed out that as president, Johnson should have fully committed to the franchised and should have focused on his task.

Williams added Johnson's statement proved that he was not sincere when he said that he will still help the Lakers. He believes that Johnson did a lot of damage to Pelinka, Buss and the entire franchise with his latest comments on his stint as team president.
