LeBron James and Anthony Davis are the most important players on the Los Angeles Lakers'  roster. However, the two superstars understand the importance of the team's bench players–a group that has been led by former Los Angeles Clippers big man Montrezl Harrell.

King James was quick to praise both Harrell and veteran sharpshooter Wesley Matthews, another Lakers newcomer, when given the opportunity following the team's 108-94 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday.

Anthony Davis did the same and followed the steps of LeBron James during his postgame availability. Because there aren't any fans in the stands for the majority of NBA teams this season, it is all the more important that teams provide themselves with the energy needed to make it through games.

Of course, players along the bench have become much more vital in such circumstances, as these role players aren't just key on the court but off the court as well.

The Lakers are looking to repeat as NBA champions in 2020-21 after capturing the 2019-20 title down in Orlando. With James and Davis back leading the way in Los Angeles, players like Montrezl Harrell, Wesley Matthews and veteran NBA point guard Dennis Schroder are proving that the team is right to get them during the offseason.
