LeBron James finally has his third star in Russell Westbrook. But now it's time for the Los Angeles Lakers to start building the pieces around their Big 3 of LeBron, Russ, and Anthony Davis.

They've done a solid job so far, adding veterans in Dwight Howard, Wayne Ellington, Kent Bazemore, and Trevor Ariza. All three were former Lakers and could fill a pretty decent role on a roster in desperate need of depth.

In the goldrush for talent that was the first day of free agency, one former teammate of LeBron James put his hat in the ring to join the Lakers on their title hunt.

In all honesty, Richard Jefferson could definitely still fill a role on the Purple & Gold. The 17-year NBA veteran may be three years removed from any NBA action, but his veteran presence and hilarious jokes could be a boost to a locker room that's locked in for a championship.

While RJ is obviously just kidding, he and LeBron James certainly had a couple of good years together with the Cleveland Cavaliers. RJ spent two seasons there, including their title-winning campaign in 2015-16. He may not get a call from Lakers GM Rob Pelinka, but he's definitely pulling for his former teammate in LeBron James nonetheless.
