If one could pinpoint a slight weakness in Lakers star LeBron James' game, it would be his inconsistency in shooting free throws. It also turns out that LeBron has 11 free throw lane violations against the Cavaliers during his Cleveland homecoming.

The Action Network's Rob Perez tweeted out a video detailing James' lane violations.

As you can see, James clearly steps over the free throw line before the ball touches the rim. He did that 11 times without the referees inciting a violation against the four-time MVP.

If you're still not convinced that this is a violation, here's a snippet of the rule, per the official website of the NBA.

Section I-Free Throw

d. The free throw shooter may not cross the plane of the free throw line until the ball touches the basket ring, backboard, or the free throw ends.

To be fair with to the Lakers star, this rule has always been inconsistently called. It has been largely mixed up with other league rules that a free throw shooter could step over the line right after his release of the ball.

With not much to scrutinize on his all-around game, LeBron's free throw shooting has been the point of criticism throughout his career. Though he is not that bad at all on that category, his career 74% clip from the line is below the standards of his excellent overall offensive package.

Despite that, the 33-year old future Hall of Famer is putting up his highest scoring average ever since joining the Miami Heat eight years ago. The King is logging in 28.9 points, 8.1 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game while not showing any signs of slowing down. The Lakers are grateful.
