Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James hasn't had any personal interaction with Phil Jackson since he signed with the Lakers in July, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

In 2016 when he was still with the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron said he lost all respect for Phil Jackson after Jackson characterized James’ business associates as a “posse.” Jackson was at the Lakers' practice facility on Wednesday. The former NBA head coach won five championships with Los Angeles.

The Lakers are 17-10 on the season, fifth place in the Western Conference. This is the best they have looked and played in a long, long time. Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka would be foolish to do anything that would upset LeBron James and ruin the rhythm this team is in right now. That doesn't mean Phil Jackson won't be stopping by the practice facility again this season, but it's highly doubtful The Zen Master and The King will ever interact with each other.

In his first season with the Lakers, James is putting up MVP-type numbers as usual. The four-time league MVP is averaging 28.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game and shooting 52.1 percent from the floor and 37.1 percent from the 3-point line.
