James Worthy isn't giving LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers a pass because of Thanksgiving.

The Lakers fell to the Sacramento Kings on Friday night in a triple overtime contest that dragged on much longer than anyone would have wanted. LA had several chances to close the game out, but instead fell prey to the Kings who stayed even-keeled even as the Lakers unraveled at times.

James Worthy sounded sick and tired of what he saw during the postgame show, as he targeted the Lakers' constant settling for outside shots during the overtime periods.

Via ClutchPoints' Nicole Ganglani:

“I just want to go home, man. There's really not a lot to talk about,” said Worthy during the Lakers postgame show. “They were 15-for-44 from behind the arc from three. AD was 0-for-5. LeBron was 2-of-13  and that's all they shot down the stretch was threes. … If that's all we're gonna do is stand around and shoot threes, we've got to do more than that. That is not team basketball.”

James Worthy certainly has a point with wanting the team to stop settling from outside. The Lakers offense attempted eight total threes in the overtime periods, connecting on just one of them. Their lone make came with under 10 seconds remaining in the final overtime when Carmelo Anthony sank a corner triple with the game out of reach.

In contrast, LA was a sterling 11-for-14 from two-point range during the same stretch. Had they continued to pound the Kings from the inside, share the rock, and stop settling for three-pointers, perhaps the outcome would have been different.
