Kendrick Perkins is one for dramatics. On Friday, the former NBA champ turned ESPN analyst decided to literally walk out of the set of ESPN's NBA Today program right in the middle of the broadcast. Big Perk had heard enough of all the talk surrounding LeBron James and the Lakers, and he just couldn't stand another second of it.

There's been a lot of discussions surrounding Kyrie Irving and his saga with the Brooklyn Nets of late. Before he decided to opt into the final year of his deal with the Nets for this coming season, rumors were rife about a potential Kyrie-LeBron reunion in LA. This prospect has been the talk of the town for the past week or so, and up until today, the whispers just won't die down.

For his part, though, it is clear that Perkins is sick of all the narratives surrounding the Lakers. So much so, that he decided to just walk out of the set as his co-hosts were exchanging views about LA's credentials for 2022-23 (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):

You also have to note that Perkins used to be teammates with LeBron as well. Perk played alongside James with the Cleveland Cavaliers during the tail end of the former's career. Perkins has been vocal about how much he respects his former teammate, but at this point, it is clear that he doesn't even want to give the Lakers the time of day.

For what it's worth, LA made a few significant signings on Day 1 of free agency. They weren't groundbreaking by any means, though, and Lakers fans have been left with a lot to be desired.
