Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James took to social media to react to New Orleans Pelicans guard JJ Redick's hilarious response to playing for Stan Van Gundy again.

Van Gundy coached Redick on the Orlando Magic and is famous for having rugged training camps, something Redick is not looking forward to since he's 36.

The Pelicans hired Stan Van Gundy after firing Alvin Gentry. JJ Redick believes his former coach will be perfect for the young guys in New Orleans—most notably Zion Williamson, Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart—due to his attention to detail.

Whenever LeBron James and the Lakers face the Pelicans, those games will be must-see TV since it pits LeBron against Williamson and Anthony Davis versus his former team. While Lakers-Pelicans games will surely be on national television, there won't be any fans in attendance due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The Lakers went 4-0 against the Pelicans last season behind LeBron and Davis. New Orleans is still a ways away from seriously competing with Los Angeles, but the future is bright in the Big Easy with Williamson, Ingram and Ball leading the way.

The 2020-21 season, which starts on Dec. 22, will feature 72 games. The Lakers are expected to compete for the championship again, while the Pelicans could make the playoffs since Williamson will be playing from day one this time around. He missed the beginning of last season after undergoing knee surgery.
