LeBron James has won a lot of Player of the Week honors throughout his Hall of Fame career. The Los Angeles Lakers star is used to getting praise every time he steps on the court. This is why he was more excited about Bam Adebayo getting the credit he deserves.

The league announced that he and the Miami Heat big man were the Players of the week for the West and East respectively. James was delighted on how the young man is balling for his former team and congratulated him on Twitter.

It's been a breakout year for the 22-year-old Adebayo. He's averaging 15 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists a game this season. The previous week saw him become a solid option for the Heat, so it's terrific that he's blossomed into the big man the Heat badly needed.

Meanwhile, James is continuing his terrific performance for the Purple and Gold. This week has been especially good for his Lakers as they continue being the team to beat for the rest of the league. They hold the top of the Western Conference thanks to his influence as a player.

Moreover, you can expect the King to likely get more of these awards. After all, he hates the idea of load management.

“Why wouldn’t I play if I’m healthy?” James said, via Yahoo! Sports' Liz Roscher. “It doesn’t make any sense to me, personally. I mean, I don’t know how many games I’ve left in my career. I don’t know how many kids that may show up to a game that are there to see me play.”

Given this statement, Lakers fans can expect more of the same from LeBron James as the weeks go by.
