Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James wore Liverpool's new home kit on Wednesday before the team's afternoon game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Liverpool's new home kit was released by Nike on Saturday, August 1.

Liverpool won its Premier League title in June. James bought a two percent stake in the team in 2011. The Lakers star's stake was initially worth about $6.5 million, but that value has grown tremendously.

James and the Lakers are 2-1 thus far in Orlando. They have defeated the Los Angeles Clippers and Utah Jazz and lost to the Toronto Raptors. Los Angeles clinched the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference after defeating the Salt Lake City franchise.

LeBron is averaging 25.4 points, 8.0 rebounds and 10.4 assists per game on the season for the Lakers in 63 starts, all while shooting 49.6 percent from the field, 34.9 percent from beyond the arc and 69.8 percent from the free-throw line. The King is putting up 19.3 points, 9.7 boards and 7.0 dimes down in Orlando, Florida. His shot is still off, but the four-time MVP has plenty of time to get that back before the playoffs start.

After Wednesday's game against the Thunder, the Lakers will face the Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Denver Nuggets and Sacramento Kings to close out the seeding games. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis leading the way, Los Angeles will be one of the betting favorites to win the 2020 championship once the playoffs start.

After Liverpool's title victory, it could well be a double celebration for LeBron this 2020.
