LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers scooped up their first win of the season on Sunday night when they knocked off the Memphis Grizzlies 121-118. It was a weight lifted off the shoulders of LA after losing their first two to start the year.

One super mind-boggling occurrence in the game came when Ziaire Williams, the 10th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, checked in for the Grizzlies. Williams was sharing a floor with James and the Lakers and he used to be teammates with Bronny James in high school. LeBron, per Dime, shared his thoughts on the moment.

“I looked at Ziaire a couple of times, and I was just shaking my head inside…It's a weird dynamic for myself to see something like that but, happy for the kid obviously but I definitely had a moment for sure.”

The superstar for the Lakers mentioned that it was less than two years ago at Sierra Canyon High School that James was in attendance for games watching Williams and Bronny James take to the floor together as teammates. After one year at Stanford, Williams declared for the draft and was taken 10th overall.

It truly is crazy when put into context how full circle of sorts this moment had to be for Williams. The Lakers took the headline though, by securing their first win of the year as they get set to head to San Antonio to take on the Spurs on Tuesday.
