The Los Angeles Lakers have officially announced the people who will form Frank Vogel's coaching staff next season:

Jason Kidd is the most popular name on Vogel's staff. He previously had coaching stints with the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks. There have been rumors that Kidd was brought in to be the next head coach if things go haywire with Vogel.

Lionel Hollins is known for his stint with the Memphis Grizzlies. He is considered as that franchise's most successful coach as they improved their win-loss record from 2009-2013. He was an integral part of the team's Grit and Grind era.

Mike Penberthy will serve as the Lakers' shooting coach. He previously had the same job with the Minnesota Timberwolves and New Orleans Pelicans.

Quinton Crawford already worked with Vogel back when he was with the Orlando Magic as head video coordinator and player development coach. Last season, he had the same role with the Charlotte Hornets.

Rounding out the Lakers' coaching staff are Greg St. Jean (player development coach/advance scout), Dru Anthrop (head video coordinator/player development coach), and Jon Pastorek (assistant video coordinator/player development coach of the team.)

The new-look Lakers will be looking to contend for a championship next season, and the coaching staff will play a key role in making that happen. They have assembled a collection of great minds, led by Vogel, and they will be partially responsible for the team's success or demise moving forward.
